RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce detailed shop drawings from architectural and structural drawings and deal with submittals and RFI’s.
  • Address drafting and production issues with architects, engineers and contractors.
  • Work closely with engineering and production staff to address production concerns.
  • Produce production drawings and compile lists of materials for production.
  • Occasionally visit job sites to gather information or address concerns.
  • Maintain appropriate drafting and production records

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent plus one year in an Architectural Drafting or CAD Technician program. Graduation from an accredited two year Drafting Program desired.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk Revit and/or Solid Works.
  • Computer skills including internet search engines, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of construction.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and construction related pressures.
